- Brief Wakefulness: Stay awake for 5–30 minutes. Use this time to drink water and mentally review your separation techniques.
- Binaural Beats: Before returning to bed, put on headphones and play a steady 4 Hz Theta track at a low, non-intrusive volume.
- Re-entry with Intention: Lay back down and focus on the 4 Hz beat. Set a firm intention to wake up without moving or opening your eyes. The 4 Hz frequency helps hold your brain in a deep relaxation/hypnagogic state, making it easier to "catch" the moment of awakening.
- The Immediate Separation Attempt: Upon your next natural awakening, do not move. Immediately try to "roll out," "levitate," or "stand up" using only your intention—no physical muscles.
- Cycling (If Separation Fails): If you don't separate instantly, cycle through these three techniques for 5 seconds each:
- Rotation: Imagine yourself spinning around your axis like a top.
- Swimmer: Mimic the motions of swimming with your non-physical arms.
